介绍（中）	本页来自作者al-Jazari发明的一篇关于奇妙设备的论文。他的象钟特别复杂：每隔半个小时，圆顶上的鸟就会吹口哨；下面的人往龙嘴里扔了一个球；司机用山羊胡子打了大象。虽然插图手稿在当时越来越受欢迎，但这本对开本是叙利亚罕见的幸存作品，从那时起，叙利亚很少有这样的手稿。
介绍（英）	This page comes from a treatise on fantastic devices invented by the author al‑Jazari. His elephant clock was especially intricate: every half hour, the bird on the dome whistled; the man below dropped a ball into the dragon’s mouth; and the driver hit the elephant with his goad. While illustrated manuscripts were growing increasingly popular at the time, this folio is a rare survival from Syria, where few such manuscripts are known from this date.
