介绍（英）	The oeuvre of the Master of the Virgo inter Virgines (Virgin among Virgins), whose eponymous work is in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, comprises around twenty panels. This painting is closely related to the style of the anonymous North Netherlandish painter. This Lamentation and a Resurrection, formerly in the Rijksmuseum, were originally part of one large ensemble. A Crucifixion in the Chrysler Museum (Norfolk, Virginia) is almost identical to The Met's panel in its dimensions. It appears to be by the same hand, but the scale of its figures argues against its being part of the same ensemble with this panel.
