介绍（中）	在十六世纪下半叶，为西方市场制造的日本漆被称为nanban（南方野蛮人），指的是对来自西班牙，葡萄牙和荷兰的外国人的绰号。这些出口漆中有许多是在京都制造的。这个盒子上的 maki-e（"洒花图片"）和丰富的珍珠母贝装饰由连续的相互连接的圆圈（shippō）组成，交叉点上有程式化的花朵，盖子上有五个花圆。
介绍（英）	In the second half of the sixteenth century, Japanese lacquer made for Western markets was known as nanban (Southern Barbarian), a reference to the epithet given to foreigners from Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Many of these export lacquers were made in Kyoto. The maki-e (“sprinkled picture”) and rich mother-of-pearl decoration on this box consists of continuous interlinked circles (shippō) with stylized flowers in the intersections and five flower roundels on the lid.
