介绍（中）	沙多的工作主要是作为一名新古典主义雕塑家；在他的众多作品中，有柏林勃兰登堡门上的装饰。他也是光刻术的早期从业者，在职业生涯的后半段开始从事光刻术；版画仍然是一种爱好。沙多创作了几幅儿童石版肖像画，其中一幅描绘了建筑师马丁·弗里德里希·拉贝的两个儿子。根据他的日记，沙多于1822年11月28日为孩子们画了草图，并于12月2日创作了石版画。就在那一天，他可能产生了这个证明印象，它在一侧显示了未完成的状态，在另一侧显示了更完成的状态。
介绍（英）	Schadow worked primarily as a Neoclassical sculptor; among his many works is the ornamentation on the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. He was also an early practitioner of lithography, which he took up during the second half of his career; printmaking remained more of a hobby. Schadow created several lithographic portraits of children including this one depicting the two sons of Martin Friedrich Rabe, an architect. According to his diary, Schadow sketched the children on November 28, 1822, and created the lithograph on December 2. That very day, he may have produced this proof impression, which displays an unfinished state on one side and a more finished one, shown here, on the other.
