介绍（中）	传说中，马克西米兰向这里展示的七名遗嘱执行人每人支付了一盎司黄金，让他们不要朝马克西米兰的头部开枪；故事称，当他躺在棺材里时，他想让母亲最后一次看到他的脸。法国画家爱德华·马内（Edouard Manet）在其大型油画《马克西米利安皇帝的处决》（1867年）中将目光转向了1867年6月19日的事件，该作品现收藏于德国曼海姆的美术馆。
介绍（英）	Legend maintains that Maximilan paid each of the seven executors shown here one ounce of gold not to shoot him in the head; he wanted, the story asserts, his mother to see his face one last time when he was in his coffin. The French painter Edouard Manet turned his eye to the events of June 19, 1867, in his large oil Execution of the Emperor Maximilian (1867), now in the collection of the Kunsthalle in Mannheim, Germany.
