介绍（中）	作为画家和插画家，马维尔于1851年开始摄影，并于1862年被评为"巴黎市摄影师"。在为拿破仑三世服务期间，他拍摄了奥斯曼男爵在巴黎的大规模拆除和建设计划。虽然他也拍摄了取代旧巴黎的现代城市，但他最出名的是他记录了风景如画和不健康的地区将被摧毁。马维尔拍摄的君士坦丁街照片显示了西岱岛拆除前的期待时刻。
介绍（英）	Trained as a painter and an illustrator, Marville began photographing in 1851, and in 1862 he was named "photographer of the city of Paris." In the service of Napoleon III, he photographed Baron Haussmann's vast program of demolition and construction in Paris. Although he also photographed the modern city that replaced old Paris, he is best known for his documents of the picturesque and insalubrious districts slated for destruction. Marville's photograph of the rue de Constantine shows an expectant moment prior to demolition on the Île de la Cité.
