介绍（中）	德加架起相机，与律师、鉴赏家、当时许多画家和音乐家的朋友玛丽·方丹（Marie Fontaine）和保罗·普贾德（Paul Poujaud）合影。几年后，Poujaud回忆说，这张照片是在作曲家欧内斯特·肖松（Ernest Chausson）和他的妻子、方丹夫人的妹妹的家中拍摄的，德加给这组人摆了姿势，让其他人在合适的时候关闭快门。慵懒的姿势和朋友们在安静、模糊的叙事中的登台，让人想起了二十年前德加的画作《苏尔金》，这幅画可以在博物馆附近的欧洲绘画画廊看到。
介绍（英）	Degas set up his camera and posed with Marie Fontaine and Paul Poujaud, a lawyer, connoisseur, and friend of many painters and musicians of the time. Years later Poujaud recalled that the photograph was made in the home of composer Ernest Chausson and his wife, Madame Fontaine's sister, and that Degas posed the group and gave the sign for someone else to close the shutter at the right moment. The slouching pose and staging of friends in a hushed, ambiguous narrative recall Degas's painting Sulking of two decades earlier, which can be seen nearby in the Museum's European Paintings Galleries.
