介绍（中）	在十九世纪，衬裙的作用不止一个。除了支撑外裙外，它们还通过伪装腿的形状来提供额外的一层温暖和谦虚。这里的法兰绒衬裙不仅实用，由较重的面料制成，适合冬季使用，而且还具有装饰性。粉红色对于此时的衬裙来说是不寻常的，给这件作品一种内衣的感觉。同样有趣的是，边界的锯齿遵循这一时期流行的连衣裙的下摆。
介绍（英）	During the nineteenth century, petticoats served more than one purpose. In addition to supporting the outer skirt, they provided warmth as an extra layer and modesty by disguising the shape of the leg. Not only is the flannel petticoat featured here functional, constructed out of a heavier fabric for the winter months, it is also decorative. The pink color is unusual for petticoats at this time and gives the piece a sense of lingerie. It is also interesting to note that the crenellation at the borders follow the hemlines of the dresses popular during this period.
